Monitor
The Monitor is designed to provide some global controls for your project, as well understanding how the data flows.
Masters
This tab allows you to control the video opacity, audio volume and the DMX intensity. Globally.
This is for example useful if you want to blackout the video, cut the audio or the lights.
The two other sliders are for transitions. Indeed, you can get control over a running transition, in case you need to adjust its timing manually :
Of course, you can set the transition of your column as manual
directly, so everytime this column is launched, it will require to be process from the monitor :
The slider for lights transition is doing the same, but only for lights obviously.
Please refer to the dedicated page : Light Plot
For info, the controls in this tab can be assigned to interactions.

It works for both for boards and timelines.

, simply launch the right column in the dashboard or position the playhead in your timeline, then press the +
button and select new cue
. Or new cue for any board/timeline
if you want this cue to work on any current board or timeline.
If needed, you can adjust the name
, column
or time
. You can even use negative timing, so the cue starts from the end.
Once set, press recall
to execute the cue.

There, you can quickly change the name
, device
and the channel
of each light.
You can also add light by pressing the + button.

DMX
This tab shows an overview of the DMX data flowing.
Change the selection to focus on a particular DMX device, light, DMX-layer or choose all lights
to show them all. Then you can move the sliders to send a different DMX value for each channel.
Sometimes, DMX data can be enormous. If so, click on the control in the top-right corner to display a more compressed view :
This is also handy to visualize animations :
Logs
This tab shows the event captured by Millumin.
This is quite useful to check if you receive some data correctly, OSC for example. Or to see what data Millumin is sending.
There are numerous kinds of events such as keyboard, MIDI, OSC, … In or out.
So it can be important to filter these result : use the search
control to do so. The gear
icon next to this control will show more option : in
and out
options to filter by input or output events, as well as a differential
option to only show the value changes for each event.
Of course, you can clear
the list or pause
the capture.
System
The last tab shows an overview of your system : how the CPU, RAM, drive and GPU are used.
Check these numbers if you feel that your computer is reaching it limits. The FPS is also a good measure for this purpose (show it from the Window
menubar).
